Why Chose a Logitech Steering Wheel

     Logitech G29 / G920

My Honest Take on the Perfect Wheel for Sim Racing

As someone who has spent countless hours playing games like Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and Euro Truck Simulator 2, I’ve learned how much a good racing wheel enhances the experience. After trying a few different models, I settled on the Logitech G29 / G920 — and here’s my honest review and why I think it’s a great pick for both beginners and experienced sim racers.

How Much Did I Pay, and Can You Save?

I bought my Logitech G29 for around 5,500 CZK (~$230). For the level of quality and features it offers, I consider it a great value. However, if you're on a tighter budget, I highly recommend checking trusted secondhand sellers. I've seen well-maintained units going for as low as 2,500 CZK (~$105).

What I LikeAbout the Logitech G29/G920

Realistic Force Feedback

One of the first things I noticed was how immersive the force feedback is. The wheel realistically simulates road texture, bumps, and resistance. It adds a level of detail that makes you feel more connected to the car and the track.

Solid Build Quality

The frame is made of metal with durable plastic housing and a leather-wrapped wheel rim. It feels premium, and after more than a year of regular use, everything still works perfectly with no issues.

900-Degree Rotation & Customization

The 900-degree rotation allows you to make full turns like in a real car. You can also customize the buttons to control things like changing the camera view, using the horn, or looking around the cockpit. I personally mapped mine for quick access to these functions.

Easy and Secure Mounting

The included desk clamps are strong and reliable. Once mounted, the wheel stays firmly in place—even during intense racing sessions.

Compatibility

Logitech G29 works with PlayStation 3, 4, 5, and PC.

Logitech G920 supports Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Choose the version that matches your preferred gaming platform.

Final Thoughts

If you're getting serious about sim racing and looking for a wheel that delivers both quality and affordability, the Logitech G29/G920 is a solid choice. It offers an immersive experience, is built to last, and gives you plenty of options to fine-tune your setup.

I’ve personally enjoyed every session with it and I think most sim racers will too.
